In following steps, the reconstruction of A2630-Board is described in detail.
Parts list :
8 MB: 16 x Ram (TC514400AZ-100 or faster)
16 x ZIP-sockets or single inline sockets (SIL-sockets)
1 x 74F257 (in case of damaging original)
1 x 16-pol. IC-socket
1 x 33 Ohm resistor
ca. 1 meter isolated wire, 0.25 mm diameter
16 MB: 32 x Ram (TC514400AZ-100 or faster)
32 x ZIP-sockets or single inline sockets (SIL-sockets)
1 x 74F138
1 x 74F257 (in case of damaging original)
1 x 16-pol. IC-socket
1 x 33 Ohm resistor
ca. 1 meter isolated wire, 0.25 mm diameter
******* 2 new pals (Contact address see end of text)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Desolder rams U400 - U431 see picture '2630.rams'.
2. Free all soldering-pads of rams.
(work carefully)
3. Mount SIL-sockets (resp. special ZIP-sockets) to places
U400 - U431. (later location of rams)
4. Connect all Pin 10 of ram-sockets see picture '2630.mux'
5. Desolder U104 and perform orders described in picture '2630.u104'
6. Connect U104 pin 5 with U304 pin 11 with a wire and do the
same with U104 pin 6 and U304 pin 13.
see picture '2630.mux'

* Complete section '7. - 7.5' only for 16 MB reconstruction *
* Continue with step '8.' for 8 MB reconstruction. *
* *
**************************************************************
7. Mount additionally used IC (Typ 74F138) as follows :
7.1 Prepare : All pins of 74F138 (except of pin 8 and 16)
must be shortened downto approx. 2-3 mm. ( 1/10 inch)
7.2 Mount IC 74F138 with glue on A2630 upside down.
see picture '2630.138'
7.3 Carefully bend pin 8 and 16 of 74F138.
see picture '2630.138' for details
(New IC is connected to power.)
7.4 Make connections between pin 1-6 of 74F138 with relevant pins
of processor. see picture '2630.138'
7.5 Connect pin 15 of 74F138 with U305 pin 15 via wire.
see picture '2630.138'
***** soldering part is done now !

* Continue here with 8 MB reconstruction *
* (also for 16MB) *
* *
**********************************************************************
8. Change pals U301 and U305 with delivered pals with same
print-on. see picture '2630.pals'
9. Mounting of rams '8 MB reconstruction' :
U400 - U415 see picture '2630.rams'
Mounting of rams '16 MB reconstruction' :
U400 - U431
10. Check complete reconstruction :
Check out cold soldering points and/or short-circuits!!
11. Put back A2630 into your computer.
12. Perform ramtest with A2630 on-board checkroutine :
12.1 After switch-on, hold down right mousebutton immediately.
A white screen with blue text and blue gadgets will appear.
While holding down right mousebutton press following keys :
RIGHT-AMIGA + SHIFT + M
Monitor-program will come up.
To test lower 8 MB-memory, type in following command :
t 200000 a00000
12.2 Different bit-patterns are tested and reported.
Test will be terminate by CTRL-C.
(this procedure can take some time, be patiently.
To accelerate termination, perform reset by pressing following keys:
CTRL + LEFT-AMIGA + RIGHT-AMIGA (and continue with step 12.1)
To test upper 8 MB-memory, type in following command :
t 8200000 8a00000
(see step 12.2)
We hope you will enjoy this reconstruction and your work-out is done
successful.
