Select the HDToolbox icon and select Icon information from the Workbench menu. Goto the tooltypes box and type in the following:
SCSI_DEVICE_NAME=scsi3.device
save your changes by pressing the save button.
Now start hdtoolbox. Does it find your harddisk?

It may be a little late for the TS, but I have this board working.
You need to set your harddisk to:
SCSI Term. on
Disable unit attn
Disable Parity
Set SCSI Term. off when you also have something else on the SCSI line, like a CDROM or ZIP drive, set that one to SCSI termination in stead of the harddisk.
scsi3.device is the way to go but the partitioning program is quite bad. Anyway it does work, that's the most important. Also make your 1st partition not too big (preferably < 900MB) when you run KS 1.3. On KS 2.04 I had no problems with a 2.1GB partition, but kept the 1st under 1GB anyway.
