Always prefer 1920 x 1080; if that's not available then select 1920 x 1200.
Usually the game won't run faster if you select a lower screen-mode!
Select a screen-mode that matches the color-depth of your executable,
e.g. select a RGB565 16bit screen-mode if you're running the "LowMem"
version and select a true-color 24/32bit screen-mode otherwise.

playing this on MorphOS and getting a couple of issues…
1. Trying to save at the save points crashes the game with a std::bad_alloc error
2. I’ve tried three controllers, all compatible with MOS, and none of them work in-game
