A z klawiszami to na spokojne jak trzeba to poczekamy i kolejny rok. Az tak Wam sie spieszy?

Hi Guys,

First, on the name of A1200NET I'd like to share with you our best wishes for the New Year 2018 ;)


I'm also sorry I'm not posting much on your page guys. I confess I wait for Wojciech to get back to me when there is a lot of questions.

I know I always can write in English for you, as I do it sometimes on the German forum.
But even there most of the time I message when their Group Manager (same as Wojciech for you) to contact me to get some feedback ;)

I also still want to come to Poland and meet all of you guys.
I was in Europe for Amiga32 with the Team and then I went to meet some family which I didn't see for quite some years already.
As you most certainly know, I live oversea in Asia and don't come back that often to europe.



So the purpose of this message is that Wojciech contacted me today, regarding your questions - as most of you when delivery is about to happen - on the keycaps.

Right now me (Phil) I'm waiting to get a correct Full keycaps set including labels.

When the team get this full set in perfect condition for mass production we'll publish our next Kickstarter Campaign Update, with photos & videos to show you guys.

►Then Mass production starts.

However, production will be done in two steps.
Reason is there is too much permutations in colors and language layouts, that 60% of the production will only have a couple permutations while 40% of it will have a crazy amount of color changes and language layout changes!

So PPA.PL (through Wojciech) will receive two bulk deliveries instead of 1 ;)

• First one with US/UK/DE (if necessary) in White/Black/A1200 colors.

• Second one will contain remaining combinations.

We expect a maximum to 3 to 4 month between first and second Bulk to arrive.
This is also due to factory production schedule, and for our project to not cost extra money because of the complexity we'll ne to wait our next production slot.


► When Keycaps mass production start, the team will launch the A500(+) Kickstarter campaign as scheduled.

This new case will be done with by the same engineers who made the A1200 case, they're eager to produce an even better case than the A1200 they
ve done and are more than ready!

Funny enough, most of these guys never knew anything about Amiga before we launched that campaign.
And now 3 engineers out of 5 bought Amigas on ebay!

- Crazy right?


- I've answered Wojciech email earlier, and he will share the content of it with you of course.

Wojciech now has access to the GROUP module within RMI.v2 as we're still working on it, and currently integrating shipping and tracking functions ;)

But as same as for the cases the Team aims for quality over everything else ;)

- Just one mistake I made in my previous post.


► Team will launch next KS campaign for A500(+) between 15th and 28th February.

► This has been announced on the last Campaign Update on Kickstarter page.


Reasons:

[*] Keycaps and Cases are two different line of designers/subcontractors/factories. They're not overlapping.
[*] Sadly our case manufacturer has a very tight schedule for production slots on end 2018 - early 2019!
[*] So we better position our production slots now or we'll have issues and might lead production time for end 2019 - early 2020!
[*] Even in case of delays, our slots still matters and production is inserted in their schedule at time.

[*] Team has -3- other projects in queue after the A500+ cases.
Step 4- Is already at prototyping level.
Step 5- R&D
Step 6- R&D

-> This mean we need to plan & see forward with manufacturers as to not be stuck for production.

[*] Also we'd rather keep the same manufacturer for cases. Seeing level of quality they achieved with the A1200 case, we'd better stick to them as they'll certainly get an ever better A500 case ;)

► Looking forward for the next keycaps sample early March, and this time with proper labels on them!

Because I really want production to start asap.

Just to inform you:

KEYCAPS
► Early next week the team will publish a quick update about Keycaps current status.

Long story short, we're awaiting our manufacturer to send us a new keycaps full set sample with correct labels printed on them.
Once this is done, we'll schedule Keycaps mass production ;)

New Amiga 500 cases
► The New A500(+) Case Indiegogo campaign just started.

Since the bulk of the stress for the keycaps is now over.
We know we have the design and materials down. We are now waiting for our production slot and then go into labeling.

This is 100% outsourced to our manufacturing partners.

Thus we now have the bandwidth to invest time in the next project and work on the design (which started already a few months ago with we had the Keycap Design set it stone)

► Maybe _Arti can open a new thread dedicated to the A500 Case campaign?
► Your group get the same benefits than from the A1200 cases campaign.

Widząc jak spada częstotliwość publikowania informacji o postępie prac, zaczynam wątpić czy cokolwiek dostanę za wpłacone pieniądze. Póki co ani klawiszy ani obudowy CD32 do mojej A1200.

Ostatnio wziąłem udział w projekcie Kickstarter Retro Fighters w sprawie "nowego" gamepada do N64 i poszło bardzo sprawnie, a informacje na temat prac otrzymywałem średnio co dwa tygodnie
Co do klawiszy, to podobno nadzieja umiera ostatnia, ale "zbliżają" się kolejne święta a moja A1200 nadal wygląda jak śnieżynka z żółtymi zębami
